Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities for an update on the social sector selection criteria review; and when the housing points system will be updated.

Answer:

The Housing Executive has established a project team to take forward implementation of 18 of the 20 proposals. Further work will be carried out and alternatives considered for two proposals relating to intimidation points and interim accommodation points prior to their implementation.

The project team has commenced the planning stage for implementation and delivery of these proposals that will make the Housing Allocation Selection Scheme fairer and better at responding to objective need.

The intention is for implementation of a number of proposals to be underway by March 2022.
