To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for her assessment of the need and potential for a residents-only parking scheme to be introduced in areas of East Londonderry.

Answer:

The first residents’ parking scheme in Rugby Road / College Park Avenue, Belfast, came into operation during April 2018. A review of the scheme, which will reflect the needs, experiences and feedback of residents, has recently been completed. I am currently working with my officials to make sure that any lessons learnt from this scheme, and the other potential schemes that did not make it to implementation inform wider policy on implementation of residents’ parking schemes to the benefit of communities.

I can confirm that any findings will be made publically available and I will consider any new schemes in light of these findings.
