Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail the funding bids his Department has made to support public bodies in preparation for the introduction of climate change legislation.

Answer:
There was an Economic Recovery Action Plan Invest to Save bid made in 2021/22 of £10 million to help take forward projects across central government that will reduce energy consumption and emissions. There have been no other bids to support public bodies in preparation for the introduction of climate change legislation in the previous five years (2016/17 – 2021/22).
As part of the three-year Spending Review exercise, covering the period 2022/23 to 2024/25, bids to support the Department and its Arms-Length Bodies in advance of the introduction of climate change legislation are currently being developed and are therefore not yet available.
