Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 22690/17-22, to detail any plans to develop a COVID vaccine certification scheme for Northern Irish residents who want to access domestic hospitality establishments in other parts of the UK and Ireland, where certification is required.

Answer:
A solution to provide NI Citizens with certified proof of their vaccination status to facilitate International Travel was deployed on 2 July 2021. It adheres to EU and WHO specifications for such certificates. The Covid Certification Scheme has only been registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office for the production of certificates to facilitate International Travel. The NI Executive has not yet established a policy on Domestic Use of Covid vaccination information.
