To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to outline the forecasted spend from the Blue/Green Fund in 2021/22.

Answer:

I expect to fully spend the £20 million Blue Green Infrastructure Fund in 2021/22. I have already announced some of the main elements of the fund, including £13.5 million which will be invested in active travel projects across Northern Ireland and provide support to Councils for the development of greenways in 2021/22. I have also allocated £500k to the Living Places and Spaces Grant programme to provide grants of up to £10k to community groups for blue green projects. This grant programme was announced on 4 October and will open for applications in November.
