To ask the Minister of Finance for an update on the preparation of legislation to underpin the Scoring Social Value Policy.

Answer:

Procurement Policy Note 01/21 – Scoring Social Value was published on 5 July.

The mandating of the scoring of social value is a significant statement indicating clearly the importance the Executive attaches to delivering social value from its procurement spend.

The appropriate legislation to underpin this policy is under consideration.
