Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance to detail the (i) percentage; (ii) number; and (iii) value of contracts awarded by his Department in 2020/21 that are within the threshold remit of the Scoring Social Value Policy and included a score for Social Value at, or above, 10 per cent.

Answer:

The new policy requirement to allocate a minimum weighting of 10% for social value in award criteria applies from 1 June 2022. Training is being developed to equip commissioners and potential suppliers to operate this new system. The Department of Finance has not yet introduced scoring but it will do so in advance of the June commencement date if possible.
