Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail (i) the number of people who were on furlough in Northern Ireland when the scheme ended; and (ii) the estimated number of these that have recommenced their jobs.

Answer:

Furlough figures at the end of September are not yet available.

The latest available provisional figures show that some 29,700 jobs remained on furlough at 31 August 2021, which is approximately 4% of eligible employments in Northern Ireland.
