To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail any conversations he has had with (i) caravan park owners; and (ii) tenants regarding disputed increases in site fees.

Answer:

I have not had any conversations with caravan park owners or tenants regarding disputed increases in site fees.

However, officials from my Department's Trading Standards Service (TSS) have provided advice to caravan owners and Caravan Occupiers' Associations, throughout 2020 and 2021, in relation to pitch licence fees. Additionally, earlier this year, TSS engaged with the owners of caravan sites in Northern Ireland about price transparency in relation to increases in site fees for annual agreements.
