Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on the redevelopment of Coleraine Grammar School, including the anticipated start date and funding levels.

Answer:

Coleraine Grammar School was announced in May 2018 to advance in design under the second call to the School Enhancement Programme (SEP2). The SEP2 Project is currently progressing through the design stages and the RIBA Stage 3 report is with Departmental officials for review. Planning and Listed Building Consent applications were lodged with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council on 27 September 2021.

It is currently anticipated that construction will begin in the summer of 2022.

The total estimated investment by the Department in this project is circa £9 million.
