Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities whether she will bid for the Barnett Consequentials as an outcome of the £22 million allocated to develop council tennis court facilities in GB for the same purpose in Northern Ireland.

Answer:

My officials have been in contact with the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to find out more detail on how this funding will be allocated and the timescales involved. A response from DCMS is currently awaited but I can confirm that they do not expect any funding to be allocated in this financial year.

In the meantime, my officials have arranged to meet with Ulster Tennis to discuss the plans that the Governing Body has to develop infrastructure.
