Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities what steps her Department is taking to address illegal clothing banks, given that some of these banks use charity logos to attract donations.

Answer:
The Department has no role in respect of illegal clothing banks.
Questions concerning the legitimacy of a collection can be addressed to the property owner, whether it be the local council or private owner, who can revoke any permission and have the bank removed. Concerns about the misuse of a charity logo should be addressed to the Charity Commission in the first instance. Any suspected criminality should be reported to the PSNI.
