Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure (i) on what date the Road Closures Order will be brought forward; and (ii) whether that Order will rectify the issues it caused for sports clubs and community events.

Answer:

I assume you are referring to the ongoing review of the operation of the Roads (Miscellaneous Provision) Act (Northern Ireland) 2010. The exercise to gather views and data relating to the operation of the Legislation, resulted in almost 800 responses to the Department’s online questionnaire, along with 14 pieces of correspondence. Detailed analysis of the information submitted is complete, and I am working with officials to finalise the review report and the Departmental response. As soon as I am in a position to be able to do so, I will make these reports publicly available.
