Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether she will bring forward legislative proposals to end sewage discharges into bathing waters.

Answer:

The responsibility for regulating sewage discharge into bathing waters lies with the Minister for Agriculture, Environment, and Rural Affairs (DAERA), and as such he is best placed to advise on any proposals to amend legislation on this matter.

I can advise however that NI Water continues to work with DAERA to improve the water environment through targeted investment in improving sewage treatment.
