Question:
To ask the Minister of Health (i) to detail the average waiting time for IVF treatment; and (ii) what steps he is taking to improve this.

Answer:

Estimated waiting times can be found https://belfasttrust.hscni.net/services/rfc/treatment-options/treatment-waiting-times/#IVF. The website will be updated if there are significant changes. The Regional Fertility Centre (RFC) is unable to provide an average waiting time for IVF treatment as variables can affect it, such as some patients no longer requiring an appointment.

The RFC has implemented a waiting list initiative including weekend and evening working which will bring IVF waiting lists down to pre-pandemic levels by March 2022.
