To ask the Minister for Communities to detail the support and funding her Department has provided to Portrush Sea Cadets in the last five years.

Answer:

My Department’s Small Capital Grants Programme provides grants of up to £5,000 to voluntary and community organisations, working in partnership, to purchase items of equipment and minor capital works to improve premises.

In 2021/22 Portrush Sea Cadets applied to the programme in partnership with Carrickfergus Sea Cadets and Lisburn Sea Cadets and the group received a grant of £3,493 towards the purchase of seven laptops.
