To ask the Minister of Health when guidance on the symptoms of COVID-19, taking into account the most recent variants, was last updated on NI Direct.

Answer:

The case definition and symptoms list for COVID-19 is kept under review and consideration at national level. Any change in the formal case definition will be based on an agreed position as advised by the four UK Chief Medical Officers.

There are no immediate plans to announce changes to the formal case definition for COVID-19.
