Question:
To ask the Minister of Health (i) whether travel and domestic use COVID vaccination certification will document booster vaccinations; and (ii) how individuals update their information for certification having received a booster vaccination.

Answer:

The European Union has recently agreed the technical specification for the display of booster vaccinations. Work is now underway to include information on the booster vaccinations in paper and electronic (PDF format) versions of the certificates. This work should be completed shortly. Work to update the app will take longer.

Information to be included in paper and digital certificates is taken from the regional Vaccination Management System which is updated by clinical staff at the time a booster vaccination is given. Citizens do not have to provide any additional information.
