To ask the Minister for Communities to provide a copy of the strategic plan and action plan demonstrating how the Housing Executive plans to ensure all of their homes meet SAP band C energy standards; and how areas are being prioritised.

Answer:

The Housing Executive is committed to urgent climate mitigation and adaptation and is currently preparing an Energy Strategy whose medium-to-long term aspiration is to significantly improve the energy efficiency of our stock at present approximately a quarter of the Housing Executive’s homes are rated as SAP C standard or above.

The work to achieve greater energy efficiency is undertaken as part of their asset management and planned maintenance programmes.
