Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail the steps she is taking to renovate Housing Executive properties deemed unfit or unreasonable for habitation.

Answer:

Any instances which are identified through the Housing Executive’s ongoing Stock Condition Survey or following contact by a tenant with the repairs service are acted on as appropriate depending on the nature of the failure. Such action can involve the issue being addressed by response maintenance, cyclical maintenance, an improvement or planned maintenance scheme, or where remediation is not deemed technically or financially feasible, clearance, demolition, redevelopment or sale.
