To ask the Minister for Communities to detail the rationale for restricting the £100 Emergency Fuel Payment Scheme to just one type of fuel/energy.

Answer:

The Emergency Fuel Payment Scheme was designed and is managed by Bryson Care. Bryson Care has confirmed that its design is based on the recommendations of Consumer Council NI and Bryson Energy research ‘The Need for a Fuel Bank Scheme in NI, carried out in 2021.
