To ask the Minister of Health when Phase 2 of the £500 HSC Special Recognition Payment will begin.

Answer:

At this stage I am unable to provide you with a definitive date but would like to reassure you that work is ongoing to finalise the arrangements for Phase 2. Details will be communicated shortly to all Independent Sector care home and domiciliary care providers registered with the RQIA.

I remain committed to ensuring that all necessary actions are taken and options explored to allow independent care staff who qualify under the eligibility criteria to receive the recognition payment as soon as practicable.
