Question:
To ask the Minister of Health when the fremanezumab jab will be made available to migraine suffers in Northern Ireland on the same basis as in the rest of the UK.

Answer:
Fremanezumab, for the treatment of chronic migraine in adults, was endorsed by my Department in July 2020 and is available in Northern Ireland in line with the current National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines (TA631).
Should NICE update its recommendations for its use in the treatment of migraine, my Department will consider it under the usual process for NICE Technology Appraisals as per the guidance set out in circular HSC (SQSD) 2/13.
