Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to outline the standard timescales for inspection of reinstatements following road openings undertaken by utility companies.

Answer:

My Department applies the procedures for inspection of reinstatements and for dealing with reinstatement failures as set out in the Northern Ireland Road Authority and Utilities Committee (NIRAUC) Code of Practice for Inspections.

My Department monitors utility company reinstatements by inspecting 10% of completed reinstatements, randomly selected, within six months of completion and a further 10% within three months of the end of the reinstatement warranty period.
