To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the roll-out of the part-time 20mph speed limit zones at schools across the Northern Division.

Answer:

I am pleased to be able to confirm The Schools (Part-Time 20mph Speed Limit) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022 was published as a draft Order for consultation on 26 January 2022. Implementation of the Tranche 2 schemes at 27 locations within my Department’s Roads Northern Division will begin upon completion of the legislation process.
