Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (i) for an update on the pollution incident at the Glenavy River in May 2020; and (ii) to detail any associated outcomes of this investigation.

Answer:

The investigation phase of this incident has been completed and a file of evidence has been submitted to the Public Prosecution Service for determination on whether the evidential test has been passed for the commencement of prosecution proceedings. As such, all information relevant to this investigation remains sub judice and my officials are not in a position to release details which might prejudice the prospect of any enforcement action.
