Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 25097/17-22, what guidance has been issued to local councils.

Answer:

The Department for Communities (DfC) is actively considering the implications of the judicial review and next steps. Officials within my Department are engaging with colleagues in DfC Local Government and Housing Regulation Division to provide assistance as appropriate. Both departments are keeping local government advised of progress. In the meantime, councils should proceed in line with the judgment. DfI has not issued any guidance to local councils on this.
