Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, given delays to remedial works, whether her Department has carried out a health and safety risk assessment on Pattons Lane, Holywood.

Answer:

My Department carries out routine safety inspections to identify and action repairs to defects which meet the current intervention threshold as opposed to undertaking a health and safety risk assessment for routine maintenance works.

I can advise that my Department is continuing to progress design work to facilitate the combined delivery of resurfacing at Patton’s Lane, Gray’s Lane and High Street, Holywood with delivery scheduled for later this year pending the anticipated award of a new resurfacing contract. In the interim my Department will continue to carry out routine inspections and repairs in accordance with our current maintenance policy.
