Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities how her Department will ensure that any subordinate legislation on extending the ability of district councils to hold remote council meetings throughout 2022 is passed before the end of the Assembly mandate.

Answer:

As stated in response to AQW27168/17-22, the Local Government (Meetings and Performance) Act 2021 provides my Department with an enabling power to make subordinate legislation to provide councils with the flexibility to hold remote/hybrid meetings post-March 2022.
