To ask the Minister of Health when visiting arrangements for maternity wards will be reviewed.

Answer:

The Pathway to Enhanced Visiting includes scheduled reviews, broadly every four weeks, in which health professionals assess the risks impacting on visiting arrangements and thus whether it is appropriate to move to the next stage of the pathway.

The next review of visiting arrangements in Hospital/Hospice settings, including Maternity wards, will be completed in mid-February.
