Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the establishment of an independent Infrastructure Commission.

Answer:

I was pleased to see my proposal for the establishment of an Infrastructure Commission here included as a key action in the Executive’s Covid-19 Recovery Plan. A cross-departmental group, led by TEO, has been established to progress this matter and you may wish to contact the Executive Office direct for further information.

I continue to offer my support and that of my officials, to this group and hope that rapid progress can be made to deliver on this key commitment given it is, I believe, the game changer our economy, environment and community needs.
