Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities (i) whether people in receipt of legacy benefits, such as Tax Credits and Housing Benefit, who have not switched to Universal Credit will be eligible for the £200 Emergency Fuel Grant; and (ii) what steps people in these circumstances need to take to ensure they receive the payment.

Answer:

I can confirm that individuals will be eligible for a payment if, during the qualifying week (Monday 13th December to Sunday 19th December 2021 inclusive), they were in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:

• Pension Credit;

• Universal Credit;

• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance;

• Income-based Jobseekers Allowance;

• Income Support.
