To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether her Department plans to resurface roads or foot paths at Sherwood Parks, Newtownabbey.

Answer:

The most recent routine maintenance inspection of Sherwood Parks was carried out on 11 January 2022. I am advised that although five carriageway defects and one footway defect were found, none met the intervention threshold defined in our current maintenance policy to be progressed for repair.

Although tracks from previous utility works have impacted the appearance of the site, my officials advise that Sherwood Parks is in a safe condition and being maintained in accordance with current maintenance policy. While there are currently no plans to carrying out resurfacing of the roads or footways, their condition will be kept under review and inclusion in a future works programme will also be considered.
