Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance to outline his definition of Green Growth.

Answer:

Green Growth is not a new concept. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has led the way for some time.

The draft Green Growth Strategy, as agreed for consultation at the Executive on 21 October, defines Green Growth as using the move from a high to a low greenhouse gas emissions economy to improve people’s quality of life through green jobs and a clean environment.

My Department is putting Green Growth at the heart of our policies – this is reflected in the Green Growth targets in my Department’s Business Plan.
