To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to outline the rationale for the inclusion of sustainable development, set out in the UK Environment Act 2021, as one of the principles in the Future Agricultural Policy Proposal consultation document.

Answer:

Sustainable development, balancing economic, social and environmental considerations, including the principle of environmental protection, is reflected in the Future Agricultural Policy Proposals.
