To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the upgrade of the Mossley West railway station.

Answer:

I am ambitious for our rail network, and am keen to do all that I can to explore how we can progress rail improvements within the budgetary envelope that is available to me.

I am pleased to advise that the planning approval for a new 240 space Park & Ride facility at Mossley West Train station has been granted. The Translink project team will now commence the procurement process to appoint a main contractor with a view to construction commencing in Autumn 2022 with an estimated completion date of Autumn 2023.
