Question:
To ask the Minister of Justice to detail any conversations she has had with (i) the PSNI; and (ii) local councils regarding reports of domestic animals being poisoned.

Answer:
Policy responsibility for the welfare of animals sits with the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs.
I have not had conversations with the PSNI or local councils on this matter in my role as Minister of Justice.
The investigation of any incidents of animal cruelty would be an operational matter for the Chief Constable, who is accountable to the Northern Ireland Policing Board.
