Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy (i) whether he has received a copy of the Travel Agents (Coronavirus) Financial Assistance Scheme 2021 from the Executive Office; and (ii) when he intends to develop a similar scheme.

Answer:

(i) I can confirm that I have received high level rationale and information for the Travel Agents (Coronavirus) Financial Assistance Scheme 2021 from the Executive Office.

(ii) Responsibility for travel agents is not constrained to one specific department. Currently the Executive is not in a position to meet and my Department has no mandate from the Executive to take forward any further schemes outside of those already announced.
