Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail the amount of funding provided to voluntary and community projects in East Londonderry dealing specifically with trauma, in each of the last five years.

Answer:
My Department provides core funding of £507k per annum for 11 regional Mental Health voluntary organisations. These organisations are regional and not specific to East Londonderry, although they do offer services to the area.
This funding has been in place over the period of the last five years, with the exception of 2020/2021 where I made the decision to increase the core grants by 25% for one year. This resulted in £632k being made available for the 11 regional Mental Health voluntary organisations.
In April 2021, I announced a new £10m Mental Health Support Fund for charitable and community organisations offering support to people with mental ill health throughout all of Northern Ireland. Recognising the significant demand, I was pleased to allocate an additional £6.02m to the Fund in February 2022. A full list of the successful applicants to the Fund, together with the amounts awarded to them, can be found via the following links:

It should be noted that while organisations may be located in certain constituency areas, many of the funded projects offer services across Northern Ireland.
Given the range of services offered by the funded voluntary and community mental health organisations, it is not possible to determine which projects deal specifically with trauma related mental illnesses.
