Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance whether consideration has been given to granting domestic rates relief to people participating in the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

Answer:

Sponsors participating in the Homes for Ukraine scheme are entitled to a £350 per month ‘thank you’ payment, funded by the British Government, which is intended to cover overheads. Any change in regard to rate relief would necessitate a change in the legislation governing domestic rate relief, and this cannot be progressed without a functioning Executive.
