Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether the Happy Healthy Minds Therapeutic and Counselling Service Pilot can be made permanent and extended in the absence of an Executive.

Answer:

Following conclusion of the Healthy Happy Minds Therapeutic and Counselling Service Pilot in June 2022, transitional arrangements will apply to ensure no child is left unsupported. An independent evaluation of the pilot will commence in July 2022 and is expected to report by late Autumn 2022. Once received, this evaluation will inform future provision of therapeutic and counselling support at primary school level and at that stage consideration will be given to the funding position. Any decision on the extension of the pilot will rest with my Department.
