Question: To ask the Minister of Health (i) how many people were supported by day centres in each Health and Social Care Trust during the first quarter of 2022; and (ii) how this compares to the first quarter in (a) 2021; (b) 2020; and (c) 2019.
Answer:
The Department does not hold this information centrally and it was requested from the Health and Social Care Trusts. Please find information detailed below. Please note that the figures provided from the HSC Trusts are compiled from varying categories of care, and some categories of care are only available for some of the years requested. Belfast HSC Trust and Western HSC Trust provided information for mental health, learning disability, older people’s services and physical and sensory disability categories of care, and Western HSC Trust’s older people’s services information was estimated for 2021 and 2022. Northern HSC Trust provided information for learning disability, and community care (2021 and 2022 only) categories. South Eastern HSC Trust provided adult services information without older people’s services data as this could not be provided, but no further detail on the included categories of care has been provided. Southern HSC Trust did not provide information on the categories of care included in their information. i) Number of people who were supported by day centres in each Health and Social Care Trust during the first quarter of 2022 Table 1.
