Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for a breakdown of the drop-out rate of pupils at Year 13 across all schools for (i) 2019/2020; (ii) 2020/2021; and (iii) 2021/2022.

Answer:

An analysis of available data in the School Leavers Survey and in the Northern Ireland School Census indicates that approximately 2.2% of Year 13 pupils had a leaving date before the end of the 2019/20 academic year. The respective figure for 2020/21 was 2.6%. Information for 2021/22 will not be available until May 2023.
