To ask the Minister for Communities what support her Department is providing asylum seeking children and their families who are being accommodated in contingency accommodation.

Answer:

Issues around immigration, including support for asylum seekers, are excepted matters and do not fall within my Department’s authority. The Home Office is the operational and policy lead on these matters while the Executive Office is the lead here.
