To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any work she is doing to collect data on people accessing foodbanks and other support services provided by the community and voluntary sector, to better inform the policies of her Department and other Executive departments.

Answer:

Officials monitor available Trussell Trust statistics on the numbers accessing their services here alongside statistics produced in the Family Resources Survey on food security.

Where there is a funding relationship between my Department and the Voluntary and Community Sector my officials gather data to monitor numbers supported, progress, success and value for money to inform future funding decisions and opportunities.
