Question:
To ask the Minister of Health for an update on the timescale for a Sexual Health Strategy.

Answer:

There are no immediate plans to bring forward a new Sexual Health Strategy. My current focus remains on prioritising limited resources on the post-pandemic rebuild of services, including sexual health services.

In the absence of a Strategy, work is underway to renew our sexual health improvement action plan. This will be developed alongside stakeholders and finalised we hope by the year end.

The need for a new strategy will be kept under review.
