To ask the Minister of Health, given that the consultation on Reshaping Stroke Care closed in August 2019, when he will provide a response to that consultation with proposed next steps.

Answer:

My Department received in excess of 19,000 responses to the ‘Reshaping Stroke Care Consultation’. In the time since the consultation closed, I have been giving careful consideration to the consultation analysis, the evidence base for reform and emerging evidence on stroke treatments.

Having done so, I can advise that it is my intention to set out the way forward for the reform of stroke care in the coming weeks and that the Reshaping Stroke Care consultation analysis will be published alongside this.
