To ask the Minister of Health how many people waited more than (i) 4 hours; (ii) 8 hours; or (iii) 12 hours, from admission to treatment, in Accident and Emergency departments in each Health and Social Care Trust, in each of the last three years.

Answer:

My Department currently monitors the time waited, from arrival to discharge, for attendances at Emergency departments against the four and 12 hour waiting time targets. Information on patients who waited more than 8 hours is not recorded. Performance at each Emergency department is published on a quarterly basis at the link below:
