Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance to detail the number of deaths in which drugs were a factor, broken down by constituency, in each of the past five years.

Answer:
The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) collates and publishes data on death registrations as collected by the General Register Office.
The information requested is provided in the table below. It should be noted that following the recently concluded review of suicide statistics, the number of drug-related deaths (along with other causes of death), for the period 2015-2020 are subject to slight revision. Revised data on deaths by cause will be published later this month.
Further information on the review of suicide statistics is available online at https://www.nisra.gov.uk/publications/review-suicide-statistics-northern-ireland
