To ask the Minister for Communities, pursuant to AQW 671/22-27, to detail what conversations she has had with the Minister for the Economy and Tourism NI to (i) assess housing provision and need; and (ii) develop policies to address housing issues.

Answer:

I have developed a Housing Supply Strategy that sets out a long term framework for the delivery of housing supply to meet our needs and demands. One of the key issues identified in the Strategy is that of ensuring we have the right skills to deliver on our housing needs, in particular in addressing climate change commitments, retrofit and improved housing quality. My officials have engaged with DfE colleagues on this issue throughout the development of the Strategy.
